A dog owner was forced to give up her dog after being homeless. Meet Cletus, an 11-year-old dog. The senior lab mix is the perfect pet you would wish to own. He is playful, chews on his food and has that goofy dog-smile on his face all day.
However, there is a sad story behind the cheerful look.
Cletus was found in Snellville in a playground with a heartbreaking note and toys. The note stated the owner would not keep Cletus because she was homeless. The owner describes the positive traits of the dog and begs for a well – wisher to adopt the senior dog.
“Cletus may be 11 years old, but he has the vigor and playfulness of a puppy.”
The senior dog was abandoned at the playground since the owner was homeless. The note written in red tells his story.
Gwinnet Animal Shelter took the dog’s story to Facebook. The comments show the positive feedback.
Jill, a Facebook user, offered to adopt the dog. Reading through the comments revealed the support and compassion of the owner towards the dog. Despite her circumstances, she did not want her dog ending up in a rescue home.
Angela Segal, a Facebook user, congratulated the previous dog owner for not dumping him in the streets.
On July 7th, Cletus found a happy ending and loving home. He has a Facebook page too.
